With over 17 years of public accounting experience, Michael is a founding partner at Dakota CPA. He specializes in partnership, S corporation, and exempt organization taxation. Michael holds a Master of Professional Accountancy and a Master of Taxation degree from the University of Denver. Passionate about bass fishing and volunteering, he actively serves as the President of HorsePower, a therapeutic riding public charity, and the Treasurer of Survivors Joining For Hope, an organization that assists families who have lost a loved one to suicide.

As a founding partner of Dakota CPA, Bryan brings over 12 years of public accounting experience. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Professional Accountancy and Business Administration from Augustana University in Sioux Falls and specializes in industries like Agriculture, Trucking, Construction, and Real Estate. Known for exceeding client expectations, Bryan takes pride in building strong client relationships. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, real estate investing, and spending quality time with his wife and daughters.

A 2024 graduate of University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Business Administration, Elyssa is originally from Lincoln, NE. Married to Peyton and a proud dog owner of Bella, Elyssa enjoys skiing, outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Additionally, Elyssa serves In the USAF Guard unit 114^th FW Sioux Falls, bringing a unique perspective to the Dakota CPA team.

Joining Dakota CPA in 2023, Linda brings over 30 years of experience in administrative support. Known as the “office mom,” Linda is a coffee enthusiast and dedicated to helping the Dakota CPA team run smoothly. Her extensive experience and warm personality make her an invaluable asset to the team.

Melea joined Dakota CPA in October 2023, bringing extensive experience as an administrative assistant. Married with a son born in 2021, Melea enjoys family time with their two dogs, Mila and Hugo. When not working, she loves reading, traveling, and exploring local cuisine in Sioux Falls. Melea is excited to contribute her professional expertise and personal warmth to the Dakota CPA team.

Charley joined Dakota CPA in May 2021, after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Mount Marty College in 2020 with a double major in Accounting & Business. Recognized for exemplifying hospitality and openness, he also served as a two-time Team Captain of the Lancers’ Baseball Team. In his free time, Charley enjoys videography, photography, exercising, and spending time with family, especially while watching the Minnesota Vikings.

Jessica joined Dakota CPA in November 2022, bringing 18 years of experience in accounting, including roles as an accountant, controller, and auditor. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Accountancy from Northern State University in Aberdeen. Jessica enjoys assisting small businesses with their accounting and tax needs. In her free time, she spends time with her husband and two boys, enjoying activities like biking, camping, and reading.

With 13 years of experience in public accounting, Katie is a graduate of University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Katie specializes in bookkeeping, payroll, and cleanup projects. Married with two daughters, Katie’s family enjoys traveling around the Midwest to compete in USRA B-modified dirt track racing.
